Under the theme "Energy for a prosperous future: Leading a sustainable tomorrow", the executive committee of MEOS GEO 2025 holds its regular meeting
Manama, Bahrain: Under the Patronage of His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, Crown Prince and Prime Minister, the Kingdom of Bahrain will host the Middle East Oil, Gas, and Geosciences Conference and Exhibition (MEOS GEO 2025) from September 16 to 18, 2025, at the Bahrain International Exhibition & Convention Centre.
Organised by Informa Markets, the Society of Petroleum Engineers (SPE), the American Association of Petroleum Geologists (AAPG), the European Association of Geoscientists and Engineers (EAGE), and the Society of Exploration Geophysicists (SEG), in collaboration with the Ministry of Oil and Environment, the event will be held under the theme "Energy for a prosperous future: Leading a sustainable tomorrow".
Executive committee meeting: Advancing MEOS GEO 2025
In this context, the Executive committee of MEOS GEO held its organisational meeting, chaired by Mr. Sultan Al-Shamrani, Reservoir Management Director at Aramco and Chairman of MEOS GEO 2025, one of the largest and most influential events in the region since its inception in 1979.
At the start of the meeting, Mr. Al-Shamrani expressed his sincere appreciation and gratitude to the Government of the Kingdom of Bahrain, represented by the Ministry of Oil and Environment, for its continuous support in hosting this global event. The conference is expected to welcome over 17,000 participants, including senior officials, industry experts, academics, and professionals from around the world. Attendees will engage in discussions addressing key challenges in the oil and gas sector and explore innovative solutions through cutting-edge technologies in this vital industry.
He emphasised that the conference theme, " Energy for a prosperous future: Leading a sustainable tomorrow," reflects the industry's commitment to balancing technological innovation with sustainability. The event will foster discussions on energy transition strategies, upstream advancements, and the evolving role of petroleum geosciences. He also highlighted that MEOS GEO serves as a premier scientific and strategic platform that encourages innovation, knowledge exchange, and collaboration within the energy and geosciences fields. Additionally, he commended the efforts of the conference organising committees for their continuous preparations, meticulous planning, and dedication to ensuring the event’s success and achieving its ambitious objectives.
