ENERGY AWARD CRITERIA

Recognising energy leaders

With the wide range of topics and themes encompassed by the very rich technical programme and panels featuring industrial leaders, the MEOS GEO 2025 Energy Awards will focus on industrial applications, technology, project implementations, and bridging the gaps between concept and practice. The 2025 Awards will include four categories with one winner each. Submissions can be made to each of the categories electronically by filling-in the online form and attaching evidence. The MEOS GEO Award Committee will evaluate the submissions and rank them based on the following criteria (weightings).

Elements (20%)

Contains one or more of topics in the relevant category, level of complexity and difficulty.

Impact (30%)

Proven results and long-term value, including profitability, HSE, and ICV benefits.

Novelty (20%)

Level of novelty, genuineness and authenticity of the solution, methods, approach, or project.

Industrial potential (30%)

Applicability to the wider industry, scale-ability, and replicability.

Energy award categories 2025

Submissions are invited across four competitive categories:

1. Digital transformation award

To recognise and promote lean implementation, new ways of working, digitalisation, game changer, and industrial collaborations, machine learning and AI.

2. Innovation and technology award

To recognise and promote innovations, R&D results and breakthrough technologies.

3. Sustainability award

To recognise and promote outstanding sustainability initiatives for the below elements.

• Energy efficiency – Clean energy, carbon reduction and improving existing energy sources.

• Energy transition – New sources of energy.

4. Entrepreneurship award

This award celebrates visionary companies and entrepreneurs with 3-5 years’ implementation across four key elements:

1. Innovation, originality and disruption.

2. Improved efficiency and value creation.

3. Growth and scalability.

4. Social impact and sustainability.

Each submission not to exceed 2,000 words and 5 pages-including figures and illustrations.
